Tell us about yourselves! Do you keep your horse here, have you a Rollestone baby, do you just like the website?

Hi

I have Checkmate's dam, Jemima, he was her third foal & it will be great to know what he gets up to in the future.

What are your plans for him?

Hi Hannah,
welcome! beware - its addictive!
I adore Checkmate (aka Twinks!?? - i think). I saw him in the flesh within his first week, he was my fav 08 foal. I was very honoured that Sarah and Chris selected the 'posh' name i suggested for him!! - my claim to fame! Will be very keen to see how he gets on too...Good luck with him, iam sure you will have fun.

Thankyou for all the welcomes!

It took us 3.5hrs to drive down to see him so i think the poor lad is going to have quite a long journey to me.

Not 100% what i have planned for him yet.. i think i will see how he develops.

Will of course post regular pics and updates!

Lucky you, Twinks is one of my favouritist Rollestone foals and was on my lottery win shopping list!

Welcome to the forum, and lots of luck with whatever you decide to do with your new boy.

long distance travelling!

Postby Perce on Thu May 14, 2009 8:02 pm

i somehow (not mentioning any names, Sarah J!!!) managed to buy my new Baby from Lincs, and i live in Devon.
i was suitably worried about the journey and we picked him up just after Christmas when it was very cold and a bit icy. everyone reassured me it would be fine and they were right. He travelled like a pro. Think he was in shock to be honest but it was an 8 hour journey. i was very impressed with him and quite impressed with myself to be honest!! but actually, except for the boredom of 8 hours on the motorway, it was easy. and it must have been tiring , which was great as he was ready for a rest when he arrived!

Are you collecting him or is he coming to you? you must be so excited!
Good luck!!
