Hi Hi

Name is Sarah, OH is Paul, truth of the matter is he is the Spotty fan  has a GORGEOUS Leopard Spot gelding Mr Jasper. I am more a blast around the countryside on some partly insane pony kinda Gal.

But confessional time....I am hooked!!!

I am shopping actively...ohhhhh so very very very actively for that perfect Spotty baby for Paul...

Yea for my partner!!!

And yes, I am secretly (guess not so secretly now) thiking Eclipse/Ghost colt could be the one!!!!

Anyways, we live up in Nottingham, have three horses, Jasper as previously introduced.
Kamakazi Katie my 14.2 welsh D thoroughbred cross mare whom I worship and adore...
And Finally... the Elderly boney pony known to me as Princess Penny Pony, to my daughter as Psycho Granny and to almost everyone else The Penster, she is 30 - 31 this year, a New Forest formerly 14.1, now shrunk to a cute yet respectable 13.2, who forever has had and still does have her tongue poking out of the side of her mouth.

We also have 6, yes I did say 6, cats...(skip this bit if you grow bored easily)....
Gonzo - black and white and the eldest of the gang...He is a very affectionate and somewhat stubborn chap who loves gravy and jelly but won`t eat the meat in the damed tin food!!
Cruelty - my rescued grey and white, who followed me home one drunked xmas evening in the freezing cold as a cute ball of tiny wobbly sick sounding ball of cute, who when I got to my front door proptly sat at my garden gate, giving one pathetic exhausted 'meeeuw' and like a good human slave I picked her up and she never left. Yes she lives upto her name is the kinda cat who growls instead of purring, she is grumpy and sullen.
Mocha - Now this little lady is the worlds most affectionate cat, who meows by opening her mouth, but who finds sound to much effort, she is grossly obese, and no amount of special dietry food and careful monitoring will get that weight off...now some of her mass of Tortishell self has disappeared and she is now much more active...but she has reached a dieting plateaux!!!
Then we have the graceful slinky and gorgeous Jinski (full name to follow P's cat not mine so to speak) He is the Russion Blue who should realistically be kept on a book shelf on a silken goose down pillow...no really, when you look at him you want to be his human slave and make such foolish guestures.

Finally THE TWINS *that really should be accompanied by some ominous dun dun duhhhhhhh type music*
Trouble and Mayhem....   need I say more....indeed should I? This reveals much about myself....you will note that the cats which originate with me are indeed named Cruelty Trouble and Mayhem....Shhh tell no one I am sane really.

Ok so the twins I hand reared from three weeks old as their mum was too weak to do it any longer...I raised a brother and sister as well, they are Calico's and very cutsey and loving....but My God do I wish someone would invent devocalling...you know like declawing. They never shut up!!!

Ever, and its morning noon and night, and they sleep on out heads, and try to kill up on the stairs and hide the things we covet most....but they eat the meat Goonzo does eat, so we forgive them and sleep with ear plugs in.

Anyways I am a mother to a 19 year old...*shakes head*, I am the big four Oh this coming January....now why do folk make an issue of this Bday....I still feel like I am nineteen, I ache more...don`t sleep as well and things are 'quite' as firm as they were at nineteen but I am so not fussed about the 40 thing.
Paul and I have been together for coming upto a year, well in a few months...have both been previously married and stuff...met at our stable yard and are that couple everyone wishes would get a room. We have found a delicous happiness and I do believe this is down to our teenage type obsession for our horses. He is undoubtedly my Mr Right, I can find no fault with him, and as I woman I have looked and looked very hard...well there is one tiny thing...HATE his stupid large fishing trawler new holed haynets, you put the haylege in one gargantuan hole and it promptly falls through another.....But it's a small thing...I will by real ones when he isn`t looking.

So thats some stuff about my mine and us....expect to see lots of me...mine and us.

Welcome - sounds like you could be a lively addition to the forum.

We are all animals lovers on here, so there is no way you could bore us by describing your animals to us.

Like you I am mostly passive forum member, but I love coming on and seeing the posts several times during the day.

Lovely people on this site Sarah - no bitchiness, helpful advice and listening ears - from like minded people.

Welcome again

That has to be THE best intro so far! Sounds like you are going to fit in just fine, you have already made me feel sane

I am very jealous of your horse collection, and even more jealous that you are shopping for another one.

You did forget one very important thing though......PICTURES! We demand to see your equine and feline friends as soon as possible!

Anyhoo, welcome to the friendlist forum we know, look forward to hearing and seeing more about you soon.

Whitewood and fran, thanks for the welcomes, I will be a good forum member and add pictures forthwith and as I am now at home I can probably do it with less spelling mistakes too  , guess being at work makes me incapable of coherence *smirk*.

Yup we do have a bit of a collection of animals, and yes looking for that baby spotty is currently a full time occupation, though having watched with bated breath for the last five days waiting for Eclipse to foal I must admit we are both in love with the results!!!!!

Pics to follow.

We are up in Nottingham, adventures you say....Am sure we can entertain you with those, we have a few tales to share and shock with...tee hee. Most of them starting with The Penster...or the old bugger as many affectionately know her as!

Ever seen a 30 year old pony with COPD, Arthritis and Lami gallop up a field relishing life and trying to buck....it's hilarious!!

The gang are all much loved and much spoilt, as all animals deserve to be, we are simply their human slaves, I will just not hear any different!!
If it's not cake, sugar or ice cream it's good for you and I just don`t want it!!!

Hi,

love the neds,

love the pussy cats (as an owner of 7 myself, i am a little biased and totally understand the adoration/human slave thing! Don't tell the dog!) As you started it .... Bramble Puss, Blackberry Toots, Barney Bounce, and Muffin McFlufftin of Mamhead (house cats) and Norman, Solomon and Gem (ex-feral stable cats) All courtesy of east devon branch of cat's protection except Muffin who my OH found outside the pub one night! :D no body claimed her and she joined the clan! a rather gorgeous Burman! alll the others are moggies!

looking forward to hearing your tales of daring do!

welcome
