Do mares seem to be hanging on to their foals this year?

Postby Whitewood on Tue Mar 24, 2009 11:01 am

Is it me, or do mares seem to hanging on to their foals this year? I have a mare who always foals before her 'due' date, but is now two weeks beyond that.

A friend has a mare who is known to be at least 4 weeks over her date.

Looking at other forums it seems not many foals are early this year - or is it me ?

Not sure but will know soon :D I have one due on 2nd April who hardly looks in foal and another due on the 28th who is HUGE. They are both half bagged up and baging up at the same rate :)

Well.... As you know Kossette kept us all waiting! As has Nadja... As did Pepper... SO maybe it's just Ghostly babies that need that extra bit of cooking!
