i m totally heart broken & to be honest Faith & Bea may have to go but they re everything i d eventually want in broodmares so if i wasn t in such a sudden dire situation i wouldn t even be considering it
i ve been given 1 weeks notice to be off my yard , & on my horses lives i ve done nothing to desrve it   ..........other than disagree politely with the yard owner when she accused Faith & Bea of having FLU i even took 2 healthy horses to the vet at my expense to settle the difference of opinion .....vet cleared both .......but yard owner still wouldn t accept it & said people who go off the yard when she doesn t know where they ve been or who s been touching thier horses will always be a high risk of bringing in viruses :? :( .........theres only 2 liveries & i m the only one who s been off the yard :( ( Devon for gradings & Gatwick for the stud open day )& if those 2 outings caused such an extreme reaction God help once my season started :? :( .
Non of my horses are allowed to be turned out :( nor am i allowed to use the schools :( .........so all i do now is walk out in had & she said i m wreckless doing that  ......vet exam cleared them normal temps , clear lungs , normal heart rates , healthy horses :? .I m depressed beyond words  .
Had wonderful news today my old showing yard i was on before the sheep farm said i can go back 8) :D .........but its £10 a week per horse more than i am presently paying :? .....£70 a week more :( . I simply don t have it  .Briardy & Kai are going to Rollestone on full grass livery & Sarah s offered to AI them for me so thats a huge weight off my mind & i can t thank her enough for her help 8)
Unbelievably  :( ........after dropping me & the girls back at the yard after the vets on Gary s way home in the lorry the clutch went  :( .......so more expense :? :( & obviously it needs to get done to move the horses :( so close to packing it all in
please God let things get better :(

George thinks he s a little king & would die if he was told he was a hill pony so his new owner must be willing to spoil him !

Shame he's so young still or I'd have a go at persuading Chris a little coloured pony would be ideal for Lissy...!

Oh Sarah, iam so sorry. It all sounded at first such a lovely place to keep your horses. Why some yard owners have these unkind and thoughtless ways about them is beyond me. We suffer a bit here, but through gritted teeth and forced smiles we still continue to keep horses here after 18 years. But believe me, we have thought about giving it all up many a time, particually when we were asked to move out of the stable yard and have to make our own stables in the old pig stys just because our trio isn't high class event horses!

Its a shame George isn't a filly, otherwise i'd have been tempted. I would also offer to have the 'orange girlies' to look after if your stuck, but I can't see that working either given our circumstances.

But what I really don't understand is the 1 week notice - unless a contract was signed stating 1 week, iam sure legally it should be longer. Rental houses have to be at least 8 weeks! Our contract states we can give minimum 2 weeks, but the yard owner has to inform us to allow 1 month.

I wish you all the best.
loads of hugs too

Only just found this - I agree with Firm what a complete nightmare!

I have been through the whole 'yard' thing, and I have to admit, the best places I have found to keep ponies/horses have been farmers with a spare couple of stables and a paddock next to the farm  They may think you are barmy being so into your horses, but as long as you leave the yard clean and tidy, they don't mind what you do.

It's just less hassle without livery yard politics... cannot do with not being able to turn out either  it drives me barmy, so completely sympathise with you on that one.

Hope everything works out - if he had been spotty I'd have had him to go with Georgie, although names would have been  he'd had have to stay as a Piglet!

thanks to you all for understanding my situation :( ............i don t think i ve cried so many silent tears
Well i dragged Meg up the yard with me on Monday night as i d been to a family funneral & hoped with Meg with me she d leave me alone ....she came out in her dressing gown ( Meg said like Rocky !) saying she didn t want to pick a fight ....BUT :? ....was i going on the weeks notice or did i intend staying until 11 th April ( which is when i m paid up untill )i said we hoped to move this weekend although we still don t have a lorry ,she muttered something i think "fine" and off she went , Meg hadn t met her before and she just loked at me and said "she s scary !".
Al s back from Vancouver thank God so she came with me yesterday day .......i walked out in hand while she skipped out 8) which made life alot easier 8) . The YO in a loud voice was telling the other liveries ( a couple , only me with 7 & another couple with 5 on the yard & we get on great !) "I m glad your here I LIKE YOU :? .....&Jeanette ( her instructer ) LIKES YOU :? " ( reminded me a bit of the film MISERY ......she s thier number one fan :? ).
AL was walking out George & he was struting & jogging ( he s so proud bless him )& she said to Al "Wow look at him ...he s full of himself " Al said "yes he likes his turnout "

so YO came to me & said "I know we re both pig headed  .......but its not fair that the horses suffer because of that..........i know your only here for a few more days but you can turnout George , Bea & Faith in your paddock today as i m not turning my TB s out ".........Kai & Briardy can go in bog paddock but i m turning my fillies ( the ones she said had flu ) on stripe next to it so can touch noses ......so its up to you"
i found this U turn totally confusing i put my 3 in front paddock as i m happy the vet had cleared them ,but i didn t risk putting my healthy horses next to horses she says has FLU ( although they look fine to me :? )but as i m moving i m not risking taking anything to the yard i m moving to ?????????so just walked them out in hand . Then Al said "that greys a bit nasty " .........looked out & about 10/ 15 mins after saying she wasn t turning out her TB s ..........she d turned her TB s out ??????????.I got mine in again with a few days to go i m not getting blamed for anything ........no idea where she s coming from  :? :(

Sorry to hear this Sarah, definately agree with Louida, best places have got to be just bog standard farms- may look like a bit of a shit hole but no politics- farmer laughs at some of the stuff we do and thinks horses are 'over sensitive' compared to cows but least he aint mad like most horsey poeple!!! (no offence to sar etc, you all seem normal!!!) I absolutely would NEVER go back on a livery yard, my last YO tried to sue me because I did 3 weeks farm labour for her over xmas- she didn't pay me and claimed damages totally £200  The ones before that were a pair of sex fiends!!
George would be welcome to come here with my boys- I really wish I could tell you I would buy him back off you but I would become instantly single- I start my nursing degree in September and I can't ask to Kyle to support ANOTHER one!!! But I could certainly offer you full grass livery for £10 a week (what it would cost me) if it helps at all even in the short term.

Sarah, so sorry to hear after you were so pleased with it all. Didn't you say somewhere that you had heard she was a bit 'strange'? Now you know I suppose.

If I could help I would but as you know, we're always short of grass (if I think of anything I'll call you) that's why PJ is down with Sarah at Rollestone.

Hope it all works out OK for you.

Oh Sarah I do feel for you, you really dont deserve this, you are so hardworking and dedicated to your horses, your PO sounds like a fruit loop!!!

I hope you can find George a good home he is such a sweetie, the rollestone solution sounds good for your two girls. Are you going to move the boys to the showing yard? will they have turnout there?

I guess your only solution is to reduce numbers a bit if you can, but I know how heart breaking this will be for you x
