WOW! is how I will start my introduction! As I'm still on a high from visiting Sarah, her family and all their fantastic horses! My name is Lesley and here the story goes.

I've been following the Rollestone family since last year, and yes I don't shut up about the horses to my friends, so it was my birthday yesterday and my friend Charlotte text me to tell me that I wasn't going riding today and that she was taking me on a surprise day out! I was intrigued? My two friends picked me up this morning and we set off down the M4, yes we headed down to Exeter but I was still none the wiser, Until we turned down this lane and there in front of me was the sign for Rollestone! Tears came to my eyes and I was lost for words.

We were first greeted by Chris, then Sarah joined us with the girls, and then we were introduced to the rest of the gang! I just wanted to stay there all day with the foals! I loved Twinks, and Alfie and Rihanna and Belle and Toby and Elvis well my list could go on and on, I just wanted to take them all home!

I hav'nt got a horse of my own but maybe one day I will be in the posistion to own one of Rollestone's.

We were made to feel so welcome, as we were total strangers before this day, and I can't wait to have the opportunity to go back there again!

This was one of the best gifts that could be given to me and I can't thank my friend enough. Sorry to do an essay but this is how I'm feeling at the moment. Very Happy and thanks to you all at Rollestone

Lesley x

Hi Lesley
What a lovely friend you have, to give you that extra special gift that they knew you would just love. I think that was so thoughtful of them. Do they realise though, that you will never stop talking about your day trip now! LOL
Welcome to the Rollestone Forum.

Hi again! And I think I forgot to actually wish you a happy birthday!

Was lovely to meet you all - and you passed every 'pop quiz' question about the horses - I was very impressed!

And yes, they got to experience the infamous Sar Quad bike ride....4 adults and 2 children speeding accross the farm was a sight to behold!

Now you have been brave enough to post you have no excuse not to keep posting!! Laughing

Happy birthday!

Hi and welcome!

Sounds like you have some great friends! I had my Rollestone visit a few weeks ago now, and I could have stayed all day.

A fab place in a fab location with stunning horses. Well done Sarah! x

Hi everyone

Sorry a delay in replying! I first found out about Rollestone in the Horse and Hound, I think it was the first foal cam with contradiction being born! So I've been addicted ever since! Hopefully in the future if its Ok with Sarah and her family we could return and it would be great to meet more of you! I felt like a big kid in a candy shop you wouldnt believe that I'm 37! It was a bit embarssing! Oh well it made my week and I'm still on a high and telling everyone!

I used to work with horses when I left school and enrolled in an equestrian course gaining my BHS stages 1&11 and a few other courses, due to a serious accident I stopped working with horses, which I really miss but through helping run a dog agility club I've made friends with a lady who has 5 horses and she offered me to go along and start riding again! It's quite frustrating as I know how to ride but try telling my body that!

Anyway thats enough from me

Lesley

Sorry to hear about your accident but it's great news that you can give riding a go again after all this time. It's nice to just be around the horses.

Keep us posted about if you're visiting again!
