Boyzie went to his loan home this morning. Eventually decided he would go in the lorry  Travelled like a dream, unloaded, straight into his stable, whinnied to the other horses, and proceeded to eat his hay.

Walked around the land with the dogs in tow.

Checked him before I left, and he was so settled. I was more than happy when I left :D

Good Luck Elly, hopefully you will have lots of fun together.

Well things have not quite worked out as originally planned. Boyzie will be coming home this weekend.

Elly and her Mother love him to bits, and have complimented him many times on his stable manners, and enthusiasm for work.

They have encountered one problem when hacking out with mares.... He loves to get his tackle out far too frequently.

As they have only mares, this is proving to hack him out in company a bit of a problem.

He is now being moved to a competition yard, where they have a cross country course, horse walker, and hold regular dressage and other competitions. We are hoping that being in the buzz of things constantly he will settle down, and we will get him out competing firstly on home turf, and then see how he goes.

He has not been out competing for well over four years, and I guess he is finding the whole experience rather exciting.

Funny how some stories have already filtered back to me. Good job I have broad shoulders.

Watch this space......

Paul
