I have found THE rider for my Boy.

Postby paul_exe on Sun Apr 26, 2009 7:53 pm

After thinking long and hard for some time, I have finally come to the decision to put my Stallion "Mummy's Boy" out on loan.

Strangely enough the people that bred him have always shown a very keen interest in having him back. They are really good friends of mine, and I hunt their eventers for them during the winter.

After a brief discussion whilst out hunting one day, they mentioned again that they would like Boyzie.

Elly the daughter, is eventing trained by Lucy Wiegersma, and Jade Lazenby.

Elly has been up to ride Boyzie this weekend, and has fallen in love with him. It was lovely to see her on him, and already they have fitted well together.

Yesterday, she schooled, jumped and hacked him out. She telephoned me last night and asked if she could come up again today to ride him. Bear in mind she has four of her own horses at home which she also has to ride.

I was at a show today with Sarah, and left them to it.

Got back to the yard today and had my camera with me, whilst Elly was riding Boyzie, and put up a few jumps.

He loves his jumping, and with Elly on board, I am hoping they will go far.

Here are a few pictures taken this afternoon.

Elly's words were "I have ridden some good horses in my time, but he is definately one of the best. He has so much more to give".

I am really looking forward to seeing them out having some fun.

They both look like they were really enjoying themselves. Good luck to them, you'll have to keep us posted on how they get on. Will you have another horse to ride?

What cracking photos. Looks like they'll go far together.

It's funny how some things are meant to be isn't it?

Wishing all concerned the very best of luck for the future, and looking forward to photo updates later on!

Julie.

LOVE those pics Paul - tried to comment on facebook but my account has been barred due to pornographic content! Apparently stripper willies are not appropriate...

Love the 3rd and last one especially...

Sarah Flashy was sooo good today - apart from a small explosion... He got a 3rd and a 5th, and Gordon ( I love that their names are FLASH GORDON!) got 1st,2nd and 3rd so we were really pleased with them

Will put pics on another thread so as not to spoil Paul's!

Its strange how these things just happen.

I never realised what a handsome horse he is. It is obviously meant to be, but a hard decision all the same.

Thank you for your lovely comments.

The decision was a difficult one, but at the same time because I know them very well, ride their own horses, know their set up, and know how well they look after their own horses the decision once seeing her interact with Boyzie has been made so much easier.

My little eavesdropper around the yard, listened to Elly talking about Boyzie to her boyfriend today, and it was very pleasurable comments.

I will still get to ride out on him whenever I like, and do have 2 other horses: Chrissy who can come back to work, and Monarch who is three this year, and will be backed later in the summer.

Boyzie will come back to me having been out and played.

He looks great Paul, such a handsome boy! They look like they really suit each other too, and will do really well.

Looking forward to seeing lots of pics and reading the reports when they get out and about.

Elly came up again today, and I put up some more jumps. She is coming back tomorrow to school him and take him for a hack, and again on Monday.

It is lovely watching them together. Elly just smiles the whole time whilst she is riding him.

First time he has seen a filler...

A little flat over this one...

2nd Attempt...

He certainly has more respect for the higher and wider jumps.... I just put them up and think to myself - I could never jump that height these days!
