Jemima's Inde foal

Postby Sue G on Sat Jun 13, 2009 9:13 pm

Jemima obviously doesn't 'do' coloureds as she has again produced a minimally marked tobiano (Twinks was her last years foal)
Her colt is very leggy, with a gorgeous head. No name as yet, so any suggestions welcome....

OOOh, he's lovely! Very handsome young man :D Twinks was one of my favourite Rollestone babies, and Jem has certainly produced the goods again this time. Are you able to keep him, or will he be offered for sale?

Aimee - Jemima was on breeding loan to Rollestone when she had Twinks....

Thanks for all your lovely comments.

Laura - Unfortunately it looks like he will grey out, grey hairs on his muzzle and his white markings have flecking around them :(

Aimee - I have had Jem for several years now, this is her fourth foal. As Fran says, she went to Rollestone on breeding loan as I needed to reduce mare numbers for a year or so.

Fran - He will be offered for sale, occasionally we keep one to go on and compete but this year all will be for sale.

I really like him Sue.... Very nice...

I wonder if her gret gene restricts the tobiano... interesting....

Just one more Inde baby left now... Bambi is imminent... and who know Chris may actually watch this one...!

Inde is going to a stud in Ireland and has his first mare lined up next week! So next year there will be ore Inde babies on the groud :)

Sorry to steal your thread - but that is great news Sarah. He is so lovely and produced such stunning foalies it would be VERY VERY sad to see him get the chop.

That's great news about Inde Sarah, when does he travel & did you sort the passport out?
So Bambi will have the last English Inde baby, perhaps Chris should turn on the foal cam for this one....

Congratulations - those markings really are lovely, if as you say he will grey, it's a shame - I love minimally marked coloureds!

Also congratulations to you too Sarah - where in Ireland is Inde going to? My friend who has Knabs over there was looking at him to use on her mare this year and couldn't because she wasn't able to import AI - she will be over the moon that he's in her country for next year :D
