Kosmo gone to new home

Postby Sue Spiers on Mon Mar 23, 2009 11:00 am

Our original sale fell through a week before she was meant to go (but suspect they knew about it a LOT longer). However they put us in touch with a lady in Somerset who was looking for a youngster. They came and visited and definitely wanted her.

The original plan was for her to go to new home with mum for a couple of weeks and then wean, but these people wanted her weaned - which was perfectly understandable (she was nearly 9 months !!). Weaning was upsetting but actually went without a hitch. Mischa went to our old yard for a couple of weeks and has come back looking amazing.

So this weekend we had to drive her down to somerset. Tried to load all day saturday, but failed - she was clearly enjoying the game which included LOTS and LOTS of carrots. With renewed energy and a lot more helpers we eventually catapulted her into the trailer on sunday morning and off she travelled brilliantly.

Her new home is wonderful. Its a home for life and if my lot could see it they would want to go as well. They also run a rug company so will be able to see Kosmo modelling the goods in years to come. They sadly lost their 2 old horses last year (which they had owned since birth), so hopefully Kosmo will fill a little gap. They also have a few "rescue" shetlands - which were very scary on first encounter, but she likes them now.

Here are the pics of her as she arrived at her new home.

thanks all.

Apparently the little horses are all bossing her around now - which she seems to love. The little grey one actually suffers from dwarfism, which I have never seen before.
