Great video which you've put a lot of effort into, well done, I liked the trotting poles and Likit parts best!

Your sj debut sounded very dramatic lol I found the tale very gripping! Sorry to hear you fell off but well done on landing on your feet, that's what I know as a SPECIAL! Very well done on your first round and as SJ
said well done for your determination against all odds!

Your tactic to 'get round in one piece' is such a good one. When I was doing more jumping with Bob, particularly when he was quite new to it, all I thought about was addressing each jump and doing the jump-off sensibly and stylishly. We never really won anything (came 4th once) but always went clear.

It's amazing (horrible) how much worse jumps can seem at an event. I swear they look brighter and higher and wider, even if you are used to jumping the same type at home! I did my stage 2 exam recently and there was a white spread which I HATED! Nerves and adrenalin always seem to come into effect on the day and you have to learn to use this to your advantage lol if I discover how I will let you know!

Its been a while since I have updated as I've been without tinternet! :x

So a quick recap of the last few weeks,
Maj is doing well, loving being able to stuff his face for more hours in the day although they are still not allowed out 24/7 at our yard yet! :?

Last Thurs we went back to The Hand (this time we hacked down and back so at least we got there in good time!) I decided due to the fact we would have to get home before it got dark , I would just do two clear rounds! So we got there and he was very strong (much more so than usual!) So whilst I watched the course a few times my friend Dec got on him to keep him moving and even Dec got off saying that he was full of it, which didn't fill me with a huge amount of confidence
He did well though was nice and steady and got all the strides right BUT......the little swine stopped at some green planks (I have stopped jumping with a stick because he gets too wound up so need to train myself much better with my legs I think!) He jumped it fine on the second attempt and then completed the rest of the round fine, So going at it the second time I knew I needed to look out for the planks but got the line wrong on the double (got the top pole down on the first part!) which came immediately before it so we had the same thing again  I know that was my fault tho but again on the second run up went over it fine!

Overall it was a better result than last time and all experience!!!

Went to see Aimee on Sunday at Balmont! WELL DONE to her and Frankie! I'm now totally jealous  but highly motivated!!!!!

Hi Sel, It was good to see you yesterday. Your recent SJ is so much improved from the last one, you have the right attitude practice makes perfect, It took me over a year of training and practice before frankie jumped his first SJ clear (2'6!).

I went down to Rollestone to see Sar on Thurs and on my way home Friday called in at Poltimore where a friend from Bristol was showuing her Shetlands! Also saw Kate and Toby, (well done again mate he is looking fab!)

My friend informed me that I am now taking Magic to a show on Monday so have a couple of days to get ready although possibly can't get there if I can't find transport! :? Fingers crossed can get there with a friend though! Gunna attempt a showing class and have a go at some jumping but looking forwards to it! If we get there!

Was most annoyed  because I ended up having to work on Monday so never got to the show, but instead did a fab grid work session on the boy in the evening! :D
I'm half on the hunt for a new yard cus fed up where I am  but because of restrictions on transport I want to stay close to The Hand! (our current yard only being 20 mins hack!)
Am now back online at home so am working on Vid number two to include our last few attempts at jumping!
Thank you to everyone for all your support so far!!!!!!!

Poor Magic!!!!!!!! :( :(

It's now my boys turn to be a bit under the weateher! Had to call the Vet out on Tuesday as my friend rang me form the yard! Magic was down and not getting up!!!!!!!! I almost crashed the car several times on the way to see him, when I was nearly there the Vets rang back to say Scott was on his way and that they had spoken to my mate and Magic was up (after about 30 mins of being down) I arrived at the yard and my boy was stood in the middle of the field not wanting to move, kept resting his back legs alternately and refusing to go anywhere! He was however still eating (so at least I knew it wasn't too bad!) Scott came and checked his feet, and stomach etc and ruled out Lami and Colic! (phew!) But couldn't say what was wrong with my lad! after 45 mins of Scott pushing and me pulling we got Magic into his stable where I was told to leave him for the nite and put him back out in the morning!! The only explanation Scott could give was that it was possibly like a dead leg!

Put Magic back out Wed and he seemed a bit better However......he is still not himself, looks very sorry for himself, so have decided to leave him in for the weekend so he can catch up on some sleep and go from there!

Its at times like this I wish he could talk and tell me whats wrong!! can't stop worrying!! :( I'm sure he's just tired but will have to wait and see!
