Tell us about yourselves! Do you keep your horse here, have you a Rollestone baby, do you just like the website?

Hi, I live close to Rollestone at Clyst St Mary, I own Jemima who Sarah had on breeding loan last year (dam of Checkmate) who is in foal to Indy.

I also have a homebred large Riding Horse mare who we have shown successfully but is having time off and is currently at stud, a Tb x shire mare who evented and dressaged and is now a broodmare and a TB mare by Efisio who is also in foal.

Have been meaning to introduce myself for a while but always seem to be too busy!!

Will try to post pics later if I can work it out!!!

Pleasure Quest

Kate, Jem is fine and looking well, she's not due till June so is currently enjoying the spring grass.

We have about 25 horses here of all shapes & sizes. They are mostly other peoples, a bit like Sarah we have retired, youngstock & broodmares kept with us. Pleasure Quest (QT) was due on the 13th April but is usually 2 weeks late, Jem is due in June and we have three livery broodmares to foal in between. Bug foaled last Sunday but unfortunately although born alive and easily in only 10 mins it refused to breathe, obviously had brain damage & died after 5 minutes, the vets think it was probably starved of oxygen possibly with a twisted cord, sometime in the previous 24 hours. However she has now become a foster mare to a shire colt - very different to the sporthorses we try to breed!!

glad to hear your mare has a new baby to take her mind off the other.

just out of interest are you the stables alongside the 376? whenever we drive past my little lad Benji and I always look for foals as there are often ones there.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your foal, but very pleased that your mare has been able to adopt another foal.

Your horses all look very nice

Hi Kate,

Melody Maker is at stud now and has been covered by Sequels Samista (Dutch Warmblood) due to be scanned in about 10 days, so fingers crossed. She is the mare that Sarah liked and was shown up to last year as a Large Riding Horse with multiple wins including Devon County, Royal
Cornwall & Swansea. Unfortunately spoilt & the apple of my eye!!! :D

Hello, sorry to hear about Bug's foal, it's great that she can be a foster mare though! I would love to see pics of her with the shire foal (as I won't be driving past anytime soon!).

Glad that Jemima is doing well. I didn't realise she was in foal to Inde. When is her due date? I will add it to my calendar!

Do you have any pics of Wonky (sorry don't know what his proper name was so only know him by his nickname! Jem's 2007 foalie) after he left Rollestone? I was very fond of that little chap! I seem to think he is sold now though; where did he go?
