Hi everyone, I've recently discovered this site and enjoy reading the forum. I haven't had a horse for some time and am currently trying to convince my husband that it would be a great idea! I have two young boys (roughly the same ages as Sarah's two girls) so I do have my hands full but I'm certain I could fit it in!!!!! I have an Equine Science Degree but I can't believe how out of touch I am now so it's really interesting to read the Forum and catch up on a few things.

Hello Fiona
I too am a newbie here, but everyone is very welcoming and friendly.
Super forum with no bitchy comments like some, nothing but helpful AND of course the Foal Cams to watch - which, by the way are addictive.
Welcome

Have to agree with Sarah's logic on the lack of an actual No being very promising!
Welcome to the madhouse... We should have a break now for a week before Kachina comes in to foal as she's not due for nearly weeks - which means I get to catch up on some sleep!

Hello from another newcomer! I also find the foal cam addictive, and agree that everyone has been very welcoming. I can thoroughly recommend getting a horse, my arguement is it keeps me sane.
Tell your Husband, that I manage a horse and pony, and 2 young children, and not forgetting the husband, and I'm also studying for a degree! If I can do it I'm sure others can!

Well I'm really working on Chris (my husband) and I think I may be able to go ahead and get a horse after we've moved in the summer. Although I have suggested we try to go to Badminton as it's not that far from here and he's agreed as long as I agree to go to a motorbike exhibition!!!
I got my degree from Aberystwyth a long time ago and haven't really done anything with it - yet.........

I'm also pretty sure I'm not going to do anything to do with my degree (drama) after I graduate! Oh well, it's all about the experience and living the student life!! I think equine degrees sound fascinating and you must learn some interesting stuff.

I really did enjoy doing my degree and sad to say particularly enjoyed the dissertation (a comparision of four different types of grass forage). It's just a shame I haven't really used it. It's just nice to be able to come on this forum as I don't really know anyone who is interested in discussing horses and I hadn't realised how much I missed it.
