What a beautiful filly, she has lovely markings and I really like the four white legs. I love the new website the only thing I would say is that it would be nice to be able to click on the pictures on the gallery so you can get a closer look.

Thanks for all the nice comments, everyone. Re the photo gallery, I'm working on the 'click to enlarge'. I'm sure it can be done with this site-builder but I haven't found the way yet! I'm a bit of a technophobe.
It has been suggested that my 2 foals would make a nice matched pair for driving!

Abolutely loving your foals and your website - well done they are gorgeous!!!
I, like you, am intrigued and would love to see what repeat breedings produce... also like Laura, I am wondering if maybe the black base coat 'supresses' the expression of the white, in a similar way to that which is thought to occur in spotted coat patterns..... before everyone starts, I KNOW there are loud black based paint horses out there...... it's just a thought.....
So the big question is, are the mares going back to the same stallion for 2009 foals?!

To answer the first query re the black base. No, this doesn't inhibit the white as is evidenced by the fact that the foals have white legs. A dun has black legs yet this is the only area where the white has come through very strongly! No, I'm convinced it is the dun factor but maybe only in this instance with Rooster. I have seen loud dun and white Paints from other breedings.
As to whether I'm repeating the breeding this year, the answer is no but for different reasons. I'm on DIY livery and have limited facilities so I usually breed every other year. This gives me the chance to sell the youngsters. Plus, I don't like sending foals away to stud. I prefer to do a lot of early handling with them at home.
Whether I go back to Rooster next year is undecided. I suppose it all depends on how these foals sell. They'll be available at weaning so we'll wait and see. If anyone's interested now please get in touch.

Well, I've sorted out the photo gallery. It was easier than I thought. The foals now have their own gallery, complete with slide-show. I'll do the same with the older horses soon and they'll all be updated regularly. Enjoy! Sue
