We are having an absolute shit time of it this year as well so far NOT ONE of our wet mares has been covered.

Dry mares - three covered, one ready to scan. Visiting mare still not cycling at all.

Another visitor coming on Monday, really hoping I have more luck with her!

The visiting mare that wasn't cycling - we've found out why today.....

Now this mare was jagged in and scanned with twins, jagged in and scanned not in foal, was teased every day for three weeks - NOTHING - vet out today so I asked if he would have a little look at her....

Marks holding onto her and I'm looking at the screen thinking "blob, BIG blob"

Vets looking at screen thinking I've lost my mind asking him why the bl**dy thing isn't coming in season!!!

He says "about forty days then" - Yip last covering date of the 16th of May.

He says "you won't be paying for this scan will you"

Owners will be chuffed to bits and probably not mind the three weeks extra keep costs.

Very Happy Very Happy

While a complete balls up - at least it is good news!!!

Poor girl, I've been calling her all the names under the sun while teasing her!!!

Thats exciting. kept hearing about all the little ghoulies and was wondering about Indy. Luci really stole my heart on foalcam this year, she is such a lovely horse.

Must be exciting for you and Sarah next year when you have both both parents at Rollestone.

Well we have three in foal so far
Broadstone Dingle Dell to Sempers Spirit
Holme Park Venezia to Sempers Spirit
Catherston Orange Grove to Hampton

Desert Storm is due to be scanned next week to see if she is in foal to Weston Justice
Persia VS is due to be scanned soon to see if she is in foal to Ringo.

tomorrow we are inseminating Dee Dee G to Dempsey and Harmsworth Elfinesque will hopefully be inseminated by Herzendieb on Friday

and I hope that is it then for the season.

My bosses two mares are 1 in foal, to Willowcroft Regal Bronze and one due to be scanned to Bernwode Brokat

Oh no what bad luck! Fingers crossed this time it works. Is she being AI'd or covered? Is there any monitoring of her follicles to see if she is actually ovulating normally? Could be something odd going on...
