decided it s time to stop dressing Bea s leg & start turning her out again (1st time since 31st March! Shocked ).she s been a real star considering she s only a yearling ( & a red head! Wink Laughing ).missed all the fireworks when she ist hit grass! Confused ......as taking photos wasn t my priority at that point! Wink Laughing .but thing s quickly chilled out Cool Very Happy , both Kai & Bea have been on box rest so long they burnt themselves out in 5 mins! Confused Rolling Eyes Kai was fine with Bea but did warn her to keep her distance from Faith Wink .......Faith & Bea were dying to meet up though! Laughing

How calm does she look?? Can't believe she is only a yearling, she really must have an old head on young shoulders, to go out on her first day and look like she was out yesterday!
My 12 yr old goes 'stupid' if the weather has changed, field has changed or her companion hasn't been out for a day with her - Bea needs to tell mine how to behave! lol
I think the movement and the fresh air on her leg should help it to improve further..All the best x

Lovely photos, they all look relaxed and happy together Laughing Laughing Laughing

We have to be really careful when letting Nuri out in a field, as we let her loose she starts by bucking near us (not sure if she´s actually aiming for us or not!) then she lets off steam for 5 mins cantering, bucking, etc and setteles down to enjoy the grass. Through all this Magno is patiently waiting outside the gate, he ambles in, has a roll and is good for 30 min to 1h before he starts chasing Nuri and we have to go home! Laughing [/quote]

How is the swelling on Bea's leg now she's been able to stretch her legs?

about the same Rolling Eyes .....i pretty sure its fluid that would have drained eventually if i continued with the "nappies".....but the continual dressing was causing pressure sores & swelling along her hamstring even though i did every thing i could think to eleviate the problem Rolling Eyes (lubricated all down hamstring with udder salve to help minimise rubbing , made sure it was well padded to minimise pressure off tape )but over such a long period i couldn t prevent all damage Sad Rolling Eyes ,so now i think its left undressed to enable hamstring to recover Confused Rolling Eyes ......not that it seems to inhibit her in anyway ! Cool Very Happy ......i think an eventing career is still within her limits Wink Cool Very Happy

Ah bless that is one happy horse, and wow hasn't the leg come on great - and I'm sure with air to it, the last bit will heal up in record time too.
