Ah well you see Sarah is a tightarse and says she wouldn't spend out the £50 odd plus to get her tested and that by the time March comes round which is when we;d start to think about feeding up a pregnant mare then it'd be obvious if she was in foal!

lol

Can your vet not just 'have a feel' internally when he's about on the yard?? Surely wouldn't cost much?? Mine did last year for Peps and said def no and he was right!

I wonder if anybody has any experience with the German company who are offering 4D picture scanning - for Equines!
Dan Reeves, Animal Genetics UK - Always happy to talk about horse DNA and colour genetics - but don't expect me to know anything about dressage!!

Omg, really? Bet they cost a small fortune, they certainly do for human 4d scans.
Luci definately not in foal, so lucky you didn't waste the money on a scan- happily winking and presenting herself at the slightest whiff of a male!!

really well actually, she seems really happy now I have moved my big ginger gelding away from them and her and Pepper are now best buddies! She is the first to come up to me in the field now (probably cos she thinks dinner time  ), which is nice as I went into it with the understanding that she would probably be a bugger to catch!!!
She seems to have taken on my cremello colt as her adoptive son.

Im glad she has settled in better now. How old is the cremello colt? Did you decide on a stallion for her? She does like a routine and you feeding her everyday is obvoisly helping. Give her a kiss from me :D

He is a yearling, but he is only ickle as he's a purebred connemara.
Still undecided on stallion- did want to go araby, but arab stud fee's seem to be ridiculous compared to the price the foals sell for.
Would like to use donnersohn on somthing and he's small enough to use on Luci`- it's so hard to decide!
