Just got in from The Hand!!!
He was a STAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok so probably slighty biased but he so is the best horse in the world right now!!!
We did a clear round and had a pole down and then did the 2'6 class which was two phase and he went like a dream! We were only the second to go clear but were fairly near the beginning! We waited around for a bit but class went on for ever! there were about 60-70 in it so went to see if I was in with a shot, there were prob 15-20 ppl left and only 14 had gone clear but I wasn't in the top 6 but considering we'd only gone to give it a go I could not be more proud of my boy at this moment!
Everyone commented on how well we looked and how we obviously have a great bond!!!!! To top it off his old owners were there too and said how well he was looking!!
Now can't wait to get out and about to some shows now, first one is in Wraxall 14th June!!!!!
X A very proud Sel and her AMAZING pone Maj X

Well where to start!
Not been on for a while and what with a shoeless horse and busy at work with the end of term fast approaching I have not done a huge amount with Magic.......
However this week we have had a competition last nite at The Hand and there is also one on Sunday, So this week I needed to get a bit done on the boy, so Tues nite we put up a couple of jumps in the arena and I'm not sure where along the line she managed to do it but my friend managed to get the jump up to 1m10 and we flew it, was so chuffed but couldn't stop shaking afterwards!
So was keen to go Thursday nite although again my A-hole of a horse would not get himself in the trailer so I had a mad trot to get there in time to do a clear round, He was fine just extremely strong, so decided against doing the class as the turns were too tight and it would have been too dodge, but we did go clear over clear round.....
Am now ready and waiting for Sunday and plan to do a couple of classes and push him a bit further so fingers crossed
So does anyone have any ideas about tricks to get stubborn horses on trailers, He's not scared just very stubborn!!!!!!!
I need your help fellow forum users, I get very cross which I know doesn't help, We have a fun ride near the end of July which obviously isn't going to be much fun if I can't get there!!!!!!!
Many Thanks
Sel xxx

Food or a pressure halter for trailer loading! Do groundwork in pressure halter first though!

Thanks Lauren - Have tried food and despite bieng the biggest piglet ever it still doesn't work, will try pressure halter idae!
On a much happier note The boy wonder and I went to The Hand again today and once again he did me proud, 4 faults in second phase 2'3 then 4 faults first phase 2'6 but came out wanting to try 2'9 but thought better of it and instead went in for the 2'6 HC and then got 8 faults in the second phase.....Anyone who knows me knows what a huge improvement this is for me and Magic has been the best confidence giver ever!!!!!!!!
Now just to get him on a trailer and we can go a bit futher a field
